Hey Roy...Amazing how communal birds and people can be under certain conditions!! Great photo's of the different kinds of birds together..very nice!! Looks very peaceful ..while I sit here in a blizzard with 11 inches of snow and still falling ...wind gust up to 40 miles per hour!!
Hi GG, thanks, 11 inches already. Yes we see on the news here about all the airports on the Eastern US side are closed. Hope to see some snow scenes soon on your blog then, mind how you go though.
So, Roy, you have had some snow also! Love the winter tree with snow. There's something about a winter tree, like a promise of more to come, or a a brave soldier, solitary and strong. I don't know. It just seems to move me. Love the robin in your header and what a lot of geese! The water in my bog is all frozen so I am not seeing geese right now.
Yes Kathie, snow nice to look at for while, but we do get fed up with it. There are about 400 geese in the Parkland where I took those images A mix of Greylag and Canada. They tend to be resident most of the time, but have away days when the weather is better.
All are gorgeous. Even though it's cold, winter is lovelier under a blanket of snow. Love the shot of the Canada Geese lifting into the air from the lake. The holly in snow is very Christmassy!

Thanks Kelly,
The Canada geese shot was taken with a 50mm 1.4 lens. I was trying to get enough light to get a half decent shot.
Thanks Mitr and the same to you.
Lovely snow scenes and I like the geese shots a lot.
Thanks Mary, I was pleased with the geese shots, because the light was awful at the time.
