Everywhere on the Fenland now farmers are busy working the soil to prepare for the next crops. The weather has been reasonably dry recently and whilst this lasts they need to complete soil preparation and winter seed sowing.
It's good to know that the land that so many have fought and died for is still being ploughed and sown and reaped. Their sacrifice has allowed the generations who came after to live in freedom though, sadly, still not in a world where there is peace.

Is that an egret in the second photo?
Love that dark Fen soil!
Farmers never run out of work. A hard life, but a satisfying life, too. I hope we never run out of farmers!

So true Mary, if we do run out of farmers then we are trouble.
Hi Penny
No that's a Grey Heron, but not easy to see as the low sun was very bright on its feathers.
Quite true Rowan.
Time marches on Roy.
I've been busy Roy...my mom has moved to Alabama and we're working hard getting her settled!
I love your farm pictures as usual.
Happy Farming, Roy..
